‘War Profiteer' Halliburton targeted
Thursday for major protest at its
high-security Woodland facility

WOODLAND – Controversial War Profiteer Halliburton has been targeted by
peace advocates for a regional protest here at the corporation's
mysterious, high-security facility THURSDAY, Nov. 8, beginning at 9 a.m. at
1990 Hays Lane (just off County Road 102 from I-5).

A news conference will be held at 9 a.m. Activists – including Iraq and
other veterans – from Sacramento, Davis-Yolo and even San Francisco are
expected to participate in the demonstration Thursday.

Halliburton is the first company in a new campaign to target corporations
who have become wealthy war profiteers, according to the Sacramento
Coalition to End the War, which earlier this year staged a 52-day sit-in a
Rep. Doris Matsui's office.
